Partner & Chief Investment Officer
Jonathan Sim
Jonathan has over 15 years’ experience in investment management, banking and finance. Over the course of his career, Jonathan has financed over AU$2 billion in property finance transactions.
Most recently, Jonathan has held the position of Head of Real Estate Finance at ASX-listed real estate investment fund manager, Eildon Capital Limited. He has previously been responsible for the real estate investment activities of ASX-listed fund manager, CVC Limited, prominent family office funds and institutional funds, managing portfolios of real estate investment in excess of AU$500 million.
Jonathan has extensive business, finance, investment, analytical, risk management, governance and compliance skills developed across a range of roles. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a member of the Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and holds a Diploma of Finance and
Mortgage Broking.

Robert Baharian
Robert is a seasoned investment professional with over 20 years of experience advising private clients and families on wealth management strategies. His expertise spans investing, asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment and portfolio management.
Prior to establishing himself as a leading figure in the industry, Robert held a senior advisory role at one of Australia’s top private banks.

Armed with a Bachelor of Business in Financial & Risk Management, along with certifications as an SMSF Specialist Adviser and a Certified Financial Planner, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his clientele.

Daniel Sollorz
Daniel is a Senior Director at CBRE Debt and Structured Finance. Prior to CBRE Daniel spent over 28 years’ experience in the banking industry, specialising in commercial real estate for sophisticated private and corporate developers, Asian capital groups investing in Australia as well as listed and unlisted property trusts. In his role prior to CBRE, Daniel managed transactions in excess of AU$2 billion.

David Lee
David is Development Director at Riverlee, a privately owned property group specialising in development and asset ownership across the commercial, residential and retail sectors. Riverlee is renowned for delivering leading urban design outcomes that foster a sense of place and belonging and has cemented itself as a trusted and respected brand within the Australian property market. Riverlee has completed in excess of AU$2.5 billion of urban land and master-planned communities, commercial office, residential and hotel developments with an active development pipeline in excess of AU$3 billion.

Michael Hermans
Michael is the Principal & Managing Director of Hub Property Group, a project delivery and advisory firm managing over AU$1 billion of projects across Australia. With over 17 years of local and international experience in property ownership and development, Michael has worked extensively across the residential, retail, office and industrial sectors and is renowned for his experience in property analysis, property development strategy, development management, project management, capital transactions and asset management.

Koby Jones
Ekam Capital have appointed The Specialised Investment and Lending Corporation (SILC) Group as their independent trustee, administrator and fund accountant.
​
Koby Jones, founder and Group Managing Director of The SILC Group, leads business growth, strategic direction, and risk management. With a successful background in global financial markets and private wealth management, including roles at Westpac, ANZ, NAB, and Wilson HTM Investment Group, Koby brings extensive expertise.
​
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, a Diploma in Financial Advising, and an Advanced Certificate in Management Skills. Koby is actively involved in alternative asset investment, serves on the Board of Directors at the Northern Health Foundation, and holds positions in various philanthropic and professional organizations, including the SILC Philanthropic Foundation, Family Business Australia, AICD, and CPA Australia.

SILC - Group Executive Director
Michelle Tay
Michelle Tay is the Group Executive Director, AFSL Responsible Manager, and Head of Group Services at The SILC Group. She oversees financial management, taxation and regulatory compliance, operational risk management, and investor relations and communication.
​
An experienced banking and finance executive, Michelle has expertise in syndicated corporate and structured financing, agency services, and corporate management. At ANZ, she managed complex syndicated finance transactions across various industries and geographies. She also has extensive experience in business and corporate banking, property development financing, and corporate management.
​
Michelle holds a Master of Applied Finance from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, and has completed the AICD course and CPA program.
Michelle is the Chairwoman of the SILC Philanthropic Foundation and a member of AICD, CPA Australia, and Family Business Australia.

SILC - Manager, Fund Accounting
Kristen Hood
Kristen oversees fund management accounts with meticulous review and oversight. Her career began at Ernst & Young in Audit, serving Financial Services clients, before transitioning to Colonial First State as a Fund Accountant, managing various Managed Funds.
​
At JBWere Limited, Kristen held positions including Capital Markets Accountant and Group Accountant. As Capital Markets Accountant, she prepared company accounts for JBWere Capital Markets and subsidiaries. Promoted to Group Accountant, Kristen reported to the CFO, overseeing accounts for Were Stockbroking and full consolidated accounts for JBWere Group.

Kristen holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).

SILC - Manager, Portfolio Solutions
Lessi Liu
Lessi oversees investment manager relationships and collaborates with clients to structure tailored funds while managing ongoing administrative activities. With five years of experience serving institutional funds management clients, Lessi specializes in multi-asset, fixed income, and private credit strategies.
Her expertise spans portfolio construction and management, including defining investment objectives, strategy formulation, asset allocation, and ongoing management. With an actuarial background, Lessi brings deep mathematical and technical knowledge in financial and credit risk modeling, unlisted asset valuation, portfolio optimization, and performance analytics.

She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne (Actuarial Studies/Statistics and Finance). Additionally, Lessi is an alumni of the London School of Economics (Macroeconomics) and the University of California Berkeley (Entrepreneurship).
